THIS IS NOT A SUICIDE NOTE.
So today someone started a rumor about me. Apparently I smoke A LOT. If you were to ask anyone that remotely knows me, you would get the seemingly obvious answer: Of course not. This led me to believe that possibly my nemesis from last year had started it. Obviously I was less than thrilled at the notion. I really don't want anything new to happen... I pretty much thought it was done with. BUT I am clearly wrong. ANYWAY. Being the type of person I am, I tried to vent a little through writing. I wrote a short paragraph about how I was upset. I put it in my bag (or so I thought) and headed to my next class. I ended the note with 'I JUST WANT THIS ALL TO BE OVER.' I meant the situation. The teacher who found it thought I meant my life. What a lovely misunderstanding. I got called down to the councilor's at the end of 3rd block. She greeted me with "Do you know why you're here?" ummmm..... I cried a bit and must have said 'I'm not going to kill myself' about 50 different times before she agreed to not call my parents. She sent me to Chemistry with a warning. Somehow I feel that if I had been suicidal, a warning and threat to call my parents would have made me more suicidal. I personally would have preferred a juice box and a hug, but really, who am I to judge?

It's SNOW!!
This July was the hottest month ever recorded, nationwide. I live in Kansas, and now it's August. Kansas weather has its ups and downs, and by that, I mean that it gets really cold and then really hot, with a handful of nice days in between.
Our record high is 120 degrees F, and our record low, -40 degrees F. That's a difference of 160 degrees F. When it's cold, I always look forward to the warmth and sunlight that summer has to offer. When it's hot, I can hardly wait for snow. Recently though, I've decided that I overall prefer the thermometer to inch closer to zero than100. Yup. Now that it's August, the harsh, bitter coldness of winter definitely trumps the stifling heat and humidity that summer offers. I'm missing the snow (for now). So I've found some lovely shiver-inducing pictures of glorious snow.
I think snow makes things look magical.

| I wasn't aware that it's actually possible to see the snowflake's pattern . |

A Poem on Graph Paper, because I'm out of Regular Paper
roses Are red
and yellow, and
White. Some
are Pink and i think
genetic engineering
can make them
black or Purple too
Maybe some are
blue. Violets are
blue. Roses can
be too. A
Rose by Any
other Name
would smell as
Sweet. I ate
a blueberry
Poptart for
Breakfast this
Morning
because
I
over
slept.

A Rather Mundane Blog Post
The amount of time until Elliot and I return to our day job of being students. Sigh. There's a lot that I didn't get accomplished this summer, and it has passed all summers before it have; over in the blink of an eye, and wanting of action. This summer I have taken on two jobs, quitting the first and just starting at my second. That's right- I pay taxes. It feels like there should be a lot more time on the countdown than what it's showing, but I punched in the date right. I've set a goal to finish reading A Prayer for Owen Meany. I've only made it 100/617 pages in so far, but I will be able to finish. Or I'll just have to cut class until I'm done. Unfortunately, budget cuts have forced us to do without the Magic School Bus this year. I guess I'll have to walk. :/
