Analysis of a Common Viewpoint

When one thinks of small town Kansas people, there is a definite misconception in the matter. It is often assumed that we all have lifted trucks, southern accents, and cowboy boots. We all drink down by the railroad tracks and swim in the creek. We listen to country music constantly. Our vehicle of choice is the lifted truck. Our art form? Farming. This is not the case. We are not all bad. I'm not saying people like that don't exist, because that would be an outright lie. I see people with such qualities everyday. C'est la vie. Personally, I don't believe in stereotypes. They suck, but one cannot simply live in a world without them. Whether we want to or not, we automatically judge people at first sight. They are thrown in the bin with 'their kind' and rarely evaluated. It is a tragic fact of life, but a true one all the same.

Wonderland

Why are we here if Wonderland is so spectacular? I suppose it does have its faults, much like our own world. It just seems a better place to be, with all of its madness uncovered, for everyone to see. So many times I've not know at all of the madness within myself and others, simply because we live in a society that prefers beings in a sort of repetitive, alike, existence. We are told from day one to be different... like everyone else. It's an everyday paradox, and an endless one at that.
Sometimes I wish I was in Wonderland, but then again, it isn't all it's cracked up to be. The characters in Wonderland have issues, too, and though not contained like our own, they seem to have a terrible way of dealing with it as well. Of course, our government is much more democratic than that of Wonderland, and our judicial system isn't as quick to judge. The Queen of Hearts just wants to chop everyone's head off, without having an inkling of knowledge on the matter. Screw the tarts. A life is much more important.
I think Alice must have been glad to be back, even if she did like some parts of Wonderland. It is a bit insane there, and makes one rethink all of the thoughts they have thought about the world in general. I for one would miss it. Wonderland is fun, but the world is much more realistic. This is both a sad and happy realization all at once.

Seeking a Friend to watch Seeking a Friend for the End of the World.

I had a really odd experience yesterday. I was watching Seeking a Friend for the End of the world, and at the end, when the credits started rolling, I couldn't move. It was the strangest feeling I've ever had. The song playing was This Guy's in Love with You by Herb Alpert and the Tijuana Brass. It wasn't necessarily a sad experience. Honestly, the fact that I was happy may have something to do with the whole situation. The point is, I didn't move at all for a good seven minutes. It was like being in a trance. Maybe that's what makes a movie good, though. If it can pull so much emotion out of a person, it has to be good, right? But the thing is, it wasn't all that sad throughout the movie. It was more of a slight comedy. I guess, even though it was about the end of the world, you still wanted to be there, which is a weird feeling. It isn't as if I want to die. Believe me, I don't. Everyone just looked so free... And then when the world ACTUALLY ended... I kind of freaked out. It was a good movie. You should watch it.

Also, why did this song make me so emotional?
